Hello lovelies! Here’s a short but zany introduction to your awesome York SingSoc Committee 2016!

President: Denise Fung Xin Hui (Middle)
Denise Fung is currently a third year student studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE). She likes painting, traveling and eating, but mostly eating. She’s also part of the university’s Outdoor Society, Minds in Motion (MIM) Volunteering and York Student in Schools (YSIS) placement. If you’re ever up for a random talk about life or to hang out over food or trips to the zoo, feel free to contact her at df724@york.ac.uk.

Liason Officer: Indrani Krishnamoorthy (2nd from right)
Indrani Krishnamoorthy is currently a second year student studying Accounting, Business Finance and Management (ABFM). She loves travelling and exploring new cafes for delicious cakes! You can contact her at ik626@york.ac.uk for any help, lunch/dinner plans or nights out! (:

Secretary: Jerome Lim Jit How (2nd from left)
Jerome Lim is currently a second-year student studying English (and Latin) Literature. Like every other normal Singaporean, he loves eating, and attempts to master cooking laksa, salted egg chicken, and tonkotsu ramen between his lectures. When he is not reading online summaries of the lengthy books on his course, he edits for Unseen, writes poetry, and is also the president of the NJCians in UK Alumni.

Treasurer: Denise Goh (right)
Denise Goh is a third year student studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics. She likes cooking and baking, but also likes to be lazy so the paradox is real. She is currently in the committee for the International Students’ Association (ISA) and York’s Pokémon Society. If you ask her what she’s doing over the weekend, usually can bet money she will tell you “frisbee tournament”.

General Officer: Bramina Braet (left)
Bramina Braet is a second year English Literature undergraduate and Creative Writing editor for Unknown Magazine. She grew up in a variety of continents and doesn’t exactly classify as Singaporean, but joined SingSoc regardless because of her long-term love-hate relationship with the multi-racial island city-state. Her interests include reading crime/thriller novels instead of her module texts, writing, hiking, and visiting graveyards.
